9" by 12", oil on canvas panel, plein air, Richard Lindenberg palette (expanded primary plus). Cloudy day with sun breaking through. Day 2 AM of Richard Lindenberg plein air worjkshop--challenge was to paint this point with 4 value masses.

The greens were mixed from indigo and cad yellow lemon, yellow orange or yellow ochre and from ultramarine blue plus the same three yellows with white added as necessary; this was the first time I had used indigo and I do like it for a cool, very dark blue. Stu
