Love it!  But I wonder what would happen if just one more blossom was unaware of the edge of the painting.

I think this one works because i observed the colors relatively well and found some nice colors combinations for the light and shadow side.

This is an inspiring painting Thomas. This has loose strokes but great control over values. The complimentary pallet is attractive. Ill have to try a floral like this for sure. Well done.

Thanks Jim and Michael! Good to hear that it's hard out there even for an experienced painter. It is so often that i loose the battle and come home with nothing. Strangely my trust that a good painter is made outside grows more and more.

Ruby, Michael, Rick, Ann, Laura and Colleen ... Thank you for your great feedback... A great motivation to keep trying. Michael, i did ask myself about the focal point while doing this. I was thinking too hard about color and forgot about edges. Edges... Nobody told me when i was oit there ;-)
I hope some blossoms will be left after the rainy days.
