very vibrant!  I especially love the effect you've created in the upper areas.  Following Richard's suggestion, I shall also leave my suggestions for improvement: and that would be to have at least some light reflections or suggestions of the sky colors on the land, to vary the color a bit there.  You've done a great job of NOT creating that mud!

Lori, I like your whole series of paintings.  They have an abstract feel about them that just suggests landscape without too much and they glow!  Congrats on your success!

Thx Michael!! Hoping to get the tones right when this is glazed.. I hope I can add the right amount if darks to the orange to get it more like the photo... I really focused on NOT making mud of this, though in my eye it needs more blending at the edges of sea, sky & sand... More darks for depth,... Hard for me to leave it alone for now!!!!
