This is how the painting really looks, the colors. I'm surprised to see the first upload was not accurate! This is the touch up that I did on the front building and some water color. I also added yellow to the window tops on the orange building to make it warmer!

Michael, thank you!  Liz, I wondered that too, maybe hanging out the window?  Glad you like it Ruby and Dorian!

Wonderful. Makes you wonder how they paint their houses with all that water around.

Well Jon. .. I didn't know that I had added re-elected light on the left wall! Lol but it does seem to shine. I'm not sure if the bricks would actually show the reflected light because of the texture? I wouldn't make the background houses darker but lighter because of the atmospheric perspective. But I really am impressed at all of the interest in this painting/photo! Feel free to paint it and see how you do!

The reflections are lovely - it's a good concept those ripples. I wonder if the houses on the right couldn't be darker with some subtle but dramatic reflected light (from the ripples - you've done that on the left hand wall) + the background houses darker, bluer and more 'vague'?

Love it! It's so frustrating when the photo doesn't show the right colors! I almost thought the source photo WAS your painting..you really captured it so well:)
