What a beautiful place to live!! I'm in the middle of concrete but for a lovely park system in town.

Thanks Lori.  This beach is just North of the Golden Gate and a great 1.5 mile easy walk from the ranger station just a mile in from Sausalito.  I shot this photo in late November; this is typical weather then--not warm but not cold and nice skies with no fog.  Nice time of year on the California Coast.  My outdoor painting friend who just joined this site, but not the workshops (yet), Katie Herzog, just posted a painting looking toward that big bluff from just South of here "Ft Cronkite Winter".  Nice blue calm pacific ocean.  Our stormy season is December through April.   Stu

The warm/cool variations in the land are masterful, especially the cliffs.

Thank you for the compliment Sara.   That depth through atmospheric perspective was the challenge of the current workshop.   I see that you are new here but have already posted your picture and some of your work as well as commented on other artists' work.  I hope you will consider joining the online workshop group if you have not already done so and posting your work for the competitions.   This is a very friendly and helpful site.   I look forward to seeing more of your work.   Stu

is correct about the scale and  height, maybe adults should be. even without them means the height scale..architectural facade is an essential...was suggestion...really I like

Thanks Mario. People provide the scale and accentuate the height of the cliffs. Stu
