Beautiful piece of art.
Hi Lois! Had to check out your work after seeing your latest! Don't know how I missed this... another work of beauty! Glad to see Michael has used your piece as an example for us!
Well composed and painted still life Lois!! To all my artist friends, I have talked about this before with some of your still life paintings ...note how Lois darkens the left side of her background .even though the light is coming from the left. She then lightens the right side. So we have light against dark, and dark against light! Note how the overlapping unifies the elements into one shape and also creates depth in a shallow field. Note the lost and found edges on the teapot, flowers, the table edge, the spout of the teapot, and the glasses. Slap my hand Lois for being picky, but the highlight on your teacup might be incorrectly placed? ..I am only pointing that out for all of us aspiring artists benefit. :)
Just AMAZING!!!
Terrific!
My most favorite color duo. Lavender and TAupe! This is gorgeous! Sharin on twitter!
