Here's my two cents. 8x10, oil on canvas board.
As always, C&C greatly appreciated!
I started thinking about Paradise and all our talk of "Fiddling" and thought of the Fiddler's Green Legend: It is a mythical afterlife (Paradise) where there is perpetual mirth, a fiddle that never stops playing (me and my brush!) and dancers who never tire. I changed it to Glen, because it is a valley.

Great overall colour harmony! beautiful. I enjoy your light and shadow contrast very much as you did them in such a detail way which made them so vivid and different from each other but as a unit. Great Job, Betsy!!!
Super Betsy! Smiles to you :-)
Very well done Betsy!! ...your values are right on. I really like the layered strokes of thick paint in your light passages!! ..really sparkles. Your mountains are rugged and hold our attention while still maintaining their place in space ..the relationship you achieved between mountain and sky, set everything up nicely. Well done Betsy.
Thanks everyone for the wishes hope to get lots of photos to share.
Super great Olivia!!! Enjoy that wonderful trip!!!! I've never been to Russia, but it must be beautiful! Take a lot of pictures so that you can paint wonderful paintings!!!! I'd be glad to see them too!!!! I'll tell about this to my children. Perhaps, they'll remember when they grow up and we'll be sent somewhere on a trip!!! :) !!! (They are 14 and 11).
