another attempt for the workshop - I wanted a "quiet" sunset - it's based on a scene from the lagoon down behind Montpellier - but I actually stole the cottage (which is very similar to the maisons de gardiens in the Camargue) from the painting my mother has over the fireplace! oil on canvas 55 x 65 cm

Nice glow on everything, the house, water, landscape.  There is a lot going on in here... lots to look at!  Could you do it again in orange?  :)

Very good Jon.  Your compositional lines bring us into the painting and to the figure.  The painting is nicely balanced in a steelyard format.  Looks pretty good to me, my friend!!:)
