Fishing boats in Southern England. I wanted the painting to be simple and light in its presentation.

Hello Kim, You say simple and light in its presentation, however, believe not simple in undertaking and thinking it out.  So well done and has one's mind wondering what's over the other side of the boats.  Very nice.

You handle water colors very well. Very clean paintings. Very pleasing. Good talent.

Hi Kim.  You must have taken a few courses in design? ...your paintings always seem to have a strong element of simplicity of design!!

You really make me want to learn watercolours!

Kim, maybe not that simple but very light. I like the foreshortened boat on the left which leads the eye right to the front boat. Your lower point of view adds a little mystery about how far that boat will have to be pushed on the sand to get it into the water. You cloudy sky is just perfect to really light up the painting. I think you can clearly say that you have accomplished your mission. Very nice work. Stu
