thx Dorian ... Have a great day. :)
Beautiful Jo! Smiles : ))
thx Ann. Very nice comment... :) thx!!
I like this very much, you have managed to make the sky with fluffy colorful shapes but it has power and tells us about the subject that is somber. Or a comment on the close of a senseless war as the light fades on the warrior.
Never met them, Stu. Yes, I love the Gettysburg countryside too. Very well kept because of the battle. I think Pennmar Park was close to your station. That's a great place. :)
Joe, when I was in the military during VietNam, I was stationed at Ft. Detrick, Frederick, MD and made many visits to Gettysburg during that time. Beautiful countryside. One of my friends in the Army, Carl (Pete) Pedersen and his wife Susie moved there after he retired, but I think they may have left for South Carolina a few years ago; I wonder if you ever met him. Stu
thx Micheal.. Really appreciate your comment. Hi Betsy. I live here. Just love the area. :) thx
This about 1 1/2 hours from where I live, and we are here in the heart of Civil War country. I know this statue; you did a nice job! I am sure the tourists in Gettsyburg would love it to.
Nice painting Joe!! ...adding to Stu's comment, I like the way you put all of your compositional movements going toward the focal point!! ....Also like the way you balanced the painting with the tree.
thx so much, Stu!!! :)
