Thanks, I softened both, as well as working the shape of the dome. Reposted as #2 if you are interested in my attempt at correction.

Thanks Colin, I appreciate the comment.  The dome isn't as bad as the photo shows, there is a bit more on the left than the photo indicates. I will look to make it show better as well as soften the distant edges. I will repost tomorrow with some mods.

Frank - liked your gondola very much. I think we both struggled with the background buildings. Mine were too sharp-edged. Perhaps your main dome/cupola is asymmetrical?

Thanks Michael I appreciate your comments.  I assume you mean the roof line in the upper left,  I have lightened the hue a little also.

Your gondola is painted very, very well Frank!!!! ....all you need to do now is soften that horizon line.  :)
