This is the palette that I mixed for Workshop 24. Lovely to have a range of close-ish hues and matching values. I'd pick from these piles to work into my mixing palette for the painting. When I was finished, I put the left-overs into the freezer ready for the next painting.

Just an update..I start out trying to be neat and organized and my palette winds up a total mess!!!! I should have taken a before & after photo!! Lol...I'm thinking that while the mess suggests a creative roll, it's really a mess that winds up confusing me..I wind up with mud!! Next pass at the painting, I plan to try keeping things better organized!!

That's cool. Thanks Linda and Ann for commenting. I learn so much from everyone on the site. It's a pleasure.

Thank you for taking a picture of your palette.  It challenged me to create a similar palette for workshop24 and I was pleased with the results.

Thank you to all of you that have added to this discussion. It has inspired me to try some new things to see what I like best. Different strokes for different folks ! Thanks Michael C for starting the discussion.

Absolutely!  No fun without the adventure and no good without the creativity.   Stu

Hey, you got that right, Michael. I need to keep putting a sticky note on my easel that says: "SIMPLIFY, SIMPLIFY". Stu

Gemini's are able to complicate things, Stu. They get to think about stuff twice, discuss it between themselves and only then do they do it.

Lori, I like the idea of little bottles. But I imagine them building up like my little bottles of spice-mixes in my kitchen. I like to keep those apart, the good mixes. I tried writing on them with a Sharpie, but with olive oil fingers that didn't work. Now I cook with them according to colour and smell.

Hey Lori, I thought Gemini's had all the creativity.   Great ideas!   Stu
