So peaceful!
Fabulous painting Dan. Smiles to you ;-)
What a luscious painting, Dan. That water looks good enough to dive into. Beautiful!
Just beautiful!!
Thanks for the likes and comments everyone! Thanks for the feedback Michael. I mentioned in a previous comment that I actually added the mast once I realised it was missing. I'll upload it here once this workshop is over. For now you can see it on my blog.
I guess the red building doesn't read very well. Maybe I'd leave that out if I painted the scene again.
Very nice Dan!! Well established focal point and great color harmony. I would like to see the red building (?) look more like what it is. It is a little ambiguous as to what it is and what its purpose it? It leans down hill to the left at the same angle as table mountain. Do you really need that large rectangular shape? Also, you need a vertical in the water to satisfy the cruciform feeling of this composition ...I am thinking of the mast ..can you extend the reflection into the water ..make it longer then the mast as the ripples will carry the reflection. Anyway, that gives you a vertical balance and connects everything above the water to the water. :)
Very pretty.
Nice painting Dan
