Hot Summer's Day (Yvoire - vue du port avec le château)

Well, after a try with sails (disaster!), I felt I wanted to be more literal about it - just see if I could capture the light by paying attention to values and color temperature - oil, 50 x 65 cm

Maybe, if the water in the middle of the foreground had more of the darkish and warmer green it has on the left and right and would not look so cool, the eye could rest better in the lighter middle of the painting. This is just, what I feel.
