thank you Sharon. it's acrylic I am using for the first time. It's very different from watercolors which I've been using. This was my first painting using acrylics.

Hi Jane. I was actually not being critical of any part of this wonderful painting ... I admire it very much because of its subtle harmonies. By "tonal", I mean that you painted the elements in terms of their darkness and lightness and mostly in middle values, while foregoing the high chroma contrasts of the impressionist look. Your painting has an "understated" effect that you would expect from a more tonal piece. Actually, this is my favorite painting of the workshop so far. :))
