Thank you so much Glenys and Silke - your comments are so encouraging!  I was fortunate to visit the Sorolla Museum in Madrid a few months ago & saw how much thick paint he used in his fantastic work & his beautiful, confident brush strokes.  I think using a bigger canvas allows you to do that a little more easily, although this canvas is still tiny by his standards!

Good brush work Jessica and you I like how you depict his concentration, on the waves or what ever is in the water, in his movement.
