Love this!
I can almost see the America's Cup race there next time, NO WAIT, Team USA made a huge comeback. Not to worry, though. Most of the sailors for team USA are Kiwis and Aussies! The first lovely thing I noticed about this painting was that nice dark left side. Good on ya!
This is very beautiful.
Thks Stu. Yes, took your advice and posted up some of the plein air ones. Been painting for around 8 years, but had the last 3 off completely due to family illness, but back again fulltime thru galleries. Started the plein air meetup group in Auckland in feb this year, mainly to 'make me' get out on location and paint, as always made excuses. Now I am organising, have to be there, so works out really well. Painted my first plein air then, and go out twice a month since (NZ weather permitting). This is one of the first. Thks for tip on the big brushes. I use up to 3" brushes etc for big work, and will have to get used to using larger than I have for these, as are such small paintings (at least for me) and still getting a handle on them. Really nice to get such positive comments back, as usually these are packed away after a day out and no one sees them, so feedback very appreciated. Thks again Stu and also to others for your comments.

Really nice work Jen. This is my favorite of your 5 posted plein air works. I don't know how long you have been painting plein air, but you seem to have may the transition very nicely from large studio paintings to smaller plein air works. Thank you very much for sharing these. Just one tip: if you really want this to help loosen you up, use as big a brush as you can for as long as you can. Your colors and values look just fine and these are all nice compositions. I'm glad that some of the very excellent artists on this site have given you some ffeedback. Stu
Kim, thk you for your comments on above artwork.
Also to Michael, appreciate any wording re my paintings. .
Have to say I only put these up as Stuart Gourlay suggested I place some pleinair ones up online so took his advice and uploaded a few.
Thanks again..
Great work Jen. Your tower supplies the needed vertical and is balanced by the highlighted cloud ....very nice!!
Lovely work !
