One of my favorite subjects to paint, old weathered abandoned houses. This one is located about an hours drive from Reykjavík. It is in a fjord called Hvalfjördur. About fifteen years ago they built a tunnel under the fjord, which saves people about an hours drive going north. But that means that most of the buildings there were deserted.

I was referring to the beautiful way you handled this scene by making a quick statement ..no clutter!! This is the hardest thing for me in my art ... to say something, keep it simple, and get out!! ..You have done this very well and I am keeping a copy of your painting for my educational purposes.

You have made a very poetic statement. You have inspired me to go out and search a similar subject to paint .... and try to do it as good as this one.
