This is cool!  I was laughing to myself thinking of a surfer/ painter trying to pull this off as a plein air while surfing.  I love that brushwork.  Only thought would to be maybe just slightly loosen up the background but this is really nice.

Here is the photo. I usually prefer painting from my own photos, but, well, I do not know, if I will be ever able to take one like this on my own ;-)
