Good day to try the Zorn palette. Any day painting outdoors rain or shine is a better day than one without painting. Challenging.......YES! Stu

Thanks Ann.   Painting with a big brush on an 8 by 10  canvas demands looseness, and the Zorn palette with white, ivory black, yellow  ochre and cad red light, makes a variety of grays the only way that one can paint.   It was a nice exercise and the Zorn palette is great for dimly lit interior scenes and stormy days; with no blue sky above, there really aren't many blues around in nature.  Fun to try new things like this.   Stu

Nice painting. You have a large variety of greys warm and cool. I also see a variety of brush work mostly soft and loose. Congratulations on loosening up

Yep Laura.  In the afternoon that day the wind picked up and everyone packed up and left after painting in the rain all day.  Rain is not as bad as wind and both together make it almost impossible to paint.   Exception is if you paint inside your car; the problem with that is that gets very messy.   Stu

Stu, remember we said better to paint in raining day than windy day. Is it still true?
