Another Schmid inspired composition. I found these flowers a little hard to paint. Theyr drawing is quite complicated. The overall shape is very simple, but the intricacy of all the little leaves makes it a little hard. It did help to squint to simplify them. The red one was easier because there was more contrast between the light and dark, but I had to exaggerate the contrast of the white ones a little.

The soft pastel hues in the background make the flowers pop. Nice use of hard and soft edges to add interest. Well done, I'm a sucker for color
