My art journey began by painting flowers in watercolours and this is one of my earlier paintings before launching into oils! Although it was one of my first paintings it is one I've kept and enjoy every day! It's on Arches hot pressed watercolour paper and measures 32" x 29".

Rajesh, Charles and Laura - thank you.
Xiao - you're very welcome. We're all on a learning experience aren't we and it's so good to be able to share with each other things we've learnt.
Ana - thank you. I too love the delicacy that can be achieved with watercolours, however oils bring a quite different dimension and, as artists, it's so good to be always learning new skills.
Michael you're very welcome. :-)) A pleasure to hopefully be a help.
Ann you're a treasure! Thank you for your comments.
This is a wonderful watercolour painting, Fay! The blending is excellent, I can feel with my eyes the delicate texture of the petals.
Thank you so much Fay for your wonderful demonstration. I am always looking for way to make different green too because when I go out to paint, I see green everywhere, and they are beautiful. I always think green has so many different characters and should be more studied than just be classified as a neither warm nor cool color. Thank you for kindly share your knowledge on your way of mixing greens. They are beautiful.
Another WOW!
