6x8 oil on panel - sold
I did this one with a palette knife and was working on getting the warm colors of the sunset, in the landscape, correct.

Thanks so much Andreas!
Lovely sunset colors!
Thank you Sillke! It does kind of look like that! cool:)
Wow! i love that. It looks almost like a Tiffany Glasswork.
That's a good pont Michael. I was thinking about the color, texture and composition, but not the focal point. Well I was thinking it was the brightest area of the sunset and tried to make everything lead to that area. But yeah, those flowers are competing with it. Thank you Michael! I always appreciate your input!
Another great painting!! ..palette knife too ..wow!! Be careful that your red flowers do not compete with the colors of the sunset ... is the painting about the sunset or the landscape ..mainly the flowers?
Thank you Ann! It was fun. It was small, so no commitments! Thanks for noticing my effort to carry the warmth of the sunset throughout the piece. It was my second attempt and still takes some thought but I was pretty happy with how it turned out.
Beautiful color and texture. Nice repetition color from the sunset to the flowers. Looks like you had fun !
Lovely & fun to look at!
Thanks Susan! That's great to hear! It's a little one though. Now I need to do the same thing but larger.
