I was making lemonade one day and looked down into the pitcher that was setting on black marble and thought wow that will make a great painting. As you can see, I pushed the colors and I loved the way the light caught the rim of the pitcher and the lemons. Also the light filtered through the milky lemonade and created that incredible bluish green.

The bubbles pop. That's the delight. The complex shape of the top edge of the pitcher contrasted against the circle of the lemonade in the throat of the jug keep my eye interested and amused. The greens and blues against the yellows, and the diagonal gradation from the midnight t blue to the warm orange red is wonderful.

Please keep us posted with what it feels like to walk through the doors of a museum and see your work hanging there.
