Even though his right hand is in the foreground, I like it more as a suggestion and gesture as opposed to the more articulated left hand on the fingerboard. Thoughts?

The left hand is in the light and focal. It needs more attention and the left hand will just have to be happy playing "second fiddle" :D

Great painting Lanny!  So well done and very expressive.  I also love the strong contrast of colours.  Yes, I like the foreground hand a lot as a suggestion, but the other hand is very good too.
