15 x 24 inches - oil on linen

Even though I increased the contrast, this still looks washed out compared tot he original.

Wow, thank you so much for the encouragement.  This was such a challenge for me, and my son told me yesterday that he absolutely hates it for some reason. So I really appreciate the kind comments from all of you.

Casey,

This is a very nice painting.  The water really shimmers and I like the colors and what you have achieved with the mountains.

Casey again you've done a beautiful painting. I just love the way you do texture and the light glow shimmers and has that affect of not being able to look directly into the sun. Very nice atmospheric perspective and the movement takes you right into the glowing light. I'm born again! I don't think you need to do anything further with this. It's dazzling!

Nice light effect and color harmony. I like your composition too. I should stratch my montains and river more so that I could get a more interesting composition like yours. I like your color study too and your brush work.

A demonstration of how a painter should "see" a photo. Beautifull !!!!
