This is my first painting in quite some time..was such a beautiful resource I couldn't resist! I painted rather quickly because so I could join in the workshop - If I could fiddle I think I'd darken the water in the background some.

Hi Lori, Love so much about this painting, the boat and sail are really well observed, I think you're right about darkening the water at the back a little bit, i really like the way your water looks like its swelling up against your foreground rock,  and I actually love all those ripples,

Ha!! I admit I DID get a bit caught up in those little ripples!!! Thanks for your comments Denis & Michael

Beautiful bold and clean passages in your handling of the sail and rock wall! Too much going on in the foreground water .. I love the dancing brush though ... just needs to be less busy.

Good strong brushwork in the rock wall with warm and cool colours Lori.
