Streets of Bellagio

Progression of a painting - top row shows the source photos I used and the original painting I did - 16x20. Beneath are the first block in after watching the workshop video - I felt off to a good start - then there I went again - details, details details!! Have to toss my small brushes and have a glass of vino, then try again!!!

I think you did a real good job of keeping the detail to a minimum ..A real nice job of cropping the photo to make a wonderful composition. Great areas of light and shadow, reflected light, color and temperature contrasts. You have nice luminosity as your forms merge into the light ...looks pretty good to me!!
