16 x 12 canvas, Oils.
I have finally decided to stop fiddling and post my attempt! Really enjoyed the challenge but didn't find it easy - perspective, sizing people to fit the doorways and even photographing to get the perspective as painted was a challenge. I look forward to comments. Going away next week (a cruise) so hope we can get wifi and watch progress with everyone's work.

Valerien, Apart from other good element, I love those cooking items you created and put inside the door, well done and very interesting.

Ian thanks for your message. Our first port of call on Friday is actually Tauranga - will look out for a guy with an easel and an umbrella!

Michael thank you so much for your comments - I did lengthen the lady in front from the legs down, perhaps it would have been better to have done it from the head up! So much to take in but even in the short time I have been part of the group I feel I have learnt a great deal.
Thanks also Linda and Cristina for your comments - lovely!

Nice work Valerie!! ....great drawing, color, and values.  Nice job on your edges and linear perspective. Almost everyone in this workshop seems to be painting the figure with the green dress a little to tall and the foreground figure a little to short? ...Unless this street abruptly falls down a hill, the two heads should be on the same eye level ..just the feet are on a different line......a lot of the workshop participants are having a problem with this aspect.
