Thank you Deb for your thoughts and suggestions.
The original is way better than my study, of course. In color but even more in brushwork i think. This is almost a year ago I didn't even know how to use a brushknife.
I didn't know that there are view statistics available on facebook. My friend there rarely share my work and i do not want to ask them to share so they feel oblidged. I would feel oblidged. The restaurant or cafe is a good point... Not aware of any here... i'll ask myself around.

Thomas, I was looking at the recent conversation you had about selling your work. Then I was comparing this painting with the original. I really have been enjoying seeing your paintings. I also struggle with the hard work of marketing and really prefer to paint!

When comparing this with the original, the original has a crispness in paint and color that gives it a step up. I think for me personally, that smaller paintings don't seem to sell as well. I also know that our market is not great here for getting a good price. I mostly sell thru a café gallery where there is no gallery mark up. When I sell some of the jewelry I make, their mark up 100% and it's terrible. I also made a FB page for my art and that has been good for sales. When folks re-share, I have had views in the 600 to 900's. That has to help. Just a few thoughts. maybe there is a restaurant you can use too???
