Great job on this painting Stuart!!!  Was it critiqued by Richard?  ... I did not participate in this particular workshop and was curious what Richard had to say about this painting?

Thank you Stuart, It should be tonalist not value painter. I used wrong words. Thank you also for your valuable information about classes. Tomorrow, I will watch Richard's demo of workshop15. I am so happy that he teachs us how to paint clouds. It seems not very easy. Good luck for us . Li

Thanks Li. I have absorbed a lot of painting knowledge from JV's courses and paintalongs. That and Richard's DVD courses have really improved my painting this past 1 1/2 years. So I am going to keep on studying with both of them. I am also pretty stuck in my tonalist mode and would never refer to myself as a colorist. JV's Winter paintalong will.start on the 25th of November, the Seascape course will be in January, and NorthLight has had Ken's edited videos for over 3 weeks now ( it should be for sale in a few weeks). I hope you will be painting in this workshop this month. Stu

Stuart, I just checked and noticed  that you were the winner of the workshop14! Congratulations to you!!! It was a wonderful work.  You created a dramatic scene! Among other good stuffs, I like the acuracy and variation of your value work.  You are really as you said a value painter.  Great job!!!!
