HI Laura ....this painting is the most successful of all the entries, I think, in creating the luminosity that was the second part of this workshop lesson!! ... A whole bunch of GOOD things happening here ...broken color, warm/cool contrasts, interesting lines, texture, broken lines and lost edges .....you have succeeded in keeping your major shapes intact by your use of value to create the smaller shapes within each major shape ...this is so important, and it looks like you have a grasp on this particular concept. In my opinion, one of the BEST of ALL the beautiful works that have been submitted to this workshop!!!
