Very beautiful!  Such an interesting composition & conveys a very peaceful atmosphere with the quiet water.

Thank you all. Silvana, Escoda is a Spanish company that makes some very nice bristle and synthetic brushes. The brush I used is a short handled bristle brush and the bristles are quite fine and it is great for blending. Jim, that is not brushwork, it's "card work"; I used the credit card (actually it is my expired AAA card) to put in all the reeds and branches. This could be an addictive method of painting; it was kind of like Bob Ross on Steroids. Stu

Stu, beautiful rendering of this lovely scene

Very nice, Stu!  I really like your foreground grasses and brush -- terrific brushwork!  The colors in the reflections are blended very nicely too -- the smoothness of that water is very real.

By the way, what is an Escoda brush? Are the script brushes the verythin ones?

So perfect Stuart...! I specially like the reflections, the grasses at the front and the mountains at the back! It is like a river road which leads you directly to the range on the horizon!

Very nice Stuart.  I like the perspective..i like when  an artist takes me into a painting and i get a feeling like im in the painting. Very well done. I know i repeat my-self but the perspective is something that i need to work on. I like  the  blending of greens and the blue of the water. Actually know that im looking all around... i like everything. Thank you for sharing Stuart.

still true to your style Stu but less brush strokes I like it:
