Street scenes are definitely your forte ! It is well painted with a nice sense of the in and outs of the building. You have captured the charm of the place.

Thanks Fay. There are a number of artists here from Chicago. I have gained instant fame (notoriety?) as the only artist from California. I am having a great time meeting people here. I am actually doing pretty OK with the weather and rapidly becoming an "all weather" plein air artist; everyone is fighting the same elements that I am. The scenery is truly lovely. Stu

Stu,  I have loved seeing the paintings you've posted - so sad that the weather hasn't been all you could have wished for.  I have fond memories of driving up from Chicago to Green Bay and all the lovely scenery on the way. My son sails often at Racine.  I have done a painting from Ephraim in Green Bay called "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay" - a wonderful country!!

This is my Cedarburg painting from today.  11" by 14" oil on panel, plein air.   It was raining when I started and a clouhe dy sky when I finished.   I chased the light a little because it was so flat at the beginning, but I didn't have to chase the Subaru--I had already painted it in when the owner drove off; I thanked for leaving the car there so long!  Tomorrow it is supposed to be cloudy and 80 degrees with little chance of rain and no significant wind--Hooray!   Stu
