Interesting, dramatic and solid building on the left side. I like your strong value contrast and colour very much,
Nice job!
I like your painting! Very good, smiles to you : ))
Thank you Lori and Ngaire.
nice job on the atmospheric perspective! I like the way you painted the pilings as well!!
Thank Micheal, I just saw the dark lines after you pointed out.It was a late unnecessary addition. I will correct it as soon as possible in my original.
Thanks Ann for constructive advises. Appreciate very much the feedback by all of you.
I like the transition of the green and blue water and the reflections in the water. The cross boards on the front pier are well done with use of color gradient. Michael is giving good advice to cool and calm down the far building. The brown boat on the right also takes my eye out of the pic and distracts because of the color temp. You might want to use some of that grey blue paint on the boat also. Over all a great job and a nice change of style for your painting
Good drawing, good color, and almost good atmospheric perspective!!! ........get rid of those 2 dark lines on the far building ...they scream out ..hey, look at me!! ..lower their value considerably....as they are destroying your atmospheric perspective.
Thank you all. It was not an easy task to paint from a complicated photo given in this workshop. But it was fun and I learnt a lot too. I tried my best to make it close to Richard's. This is the 2nd painting I did on the same photo.
