Oil on canvas 16 x 20 Inches. This is a study of a Russian landscape artist Shishkin's Oak Grove. I love his paintings since I was young and still love it, and I always want to try it.at lease once It is very intimidating. This one took me two months to "finish", but comparing to his original, it is just a "block in"

I'll have to google that painting. Nice shadow forms on your tree trunks and the branches that snake thru the tree are great

Thank you Cristina, Richard and Michael for the encouraging comments. I can never get the detail as Shishikin did on his painting.  All I can hope to accomplish here is to get the feelings. Even that, I am not sure if I got it.
