Oh wow Good for you Hope you post your paintings I cannot imagine what it must be like to live in a desert as I live in a tiny 2 bed house over the road from the sea Soooo lucky It also is very quiet
Hi Annie, no it is from a photo a download from the internet. I don't know if that is legal, but I am living in the Namib Desert and here is not much to paint except sand dunes and some wildlife (oryx and jackels). It’s nice living here, because it is very quiet and peaceful and very remote from other towns, but from an artist point of view, sadly here is not much to paint. But I do go from time to time to places, taking photographs and painting plein air, but that is far in between. We do live near the Fish river Canyon and I am going there in 2 weeks’ time to paint. Richard's previous assignment (that I didn't do) as well as this one, inspire me to go there.
Hi Aurelia What a lovely painting well done Is this a local scene from where you live?
Thanks for your kind comments. I am having fun with this assignment and the gamut mask.
I like your final painting for the workshop. Great aerial perspective, and I love the pink in the front, well done!!!
You're welcome Aurelia.... :))
Thanks Patricia. I finally got it right. Took me some time to figure that out, because I keep pressing the "Print Screen" button and nothing happened. Silly me! I am learning some computer skills as well!
Here is a link to my step by step instructions on how to copy the Gamut Mask to a file to upload to The Complete Artist. (The info is also on my blog.)

I like your painting. In particular the use of the green hue and also it's application in the aerial perspective dimension. Well done!!
