This 2nd Workshop painting has been much more difficult for me due to the large amount of detail in the photos that we had to choose from. I am still not thrilled with my result but I am enjoying the limited pallet that Richard teaches in so may of his demos. I may try another if time permits.

I use ultramarine blue, burnt sienna, cadmium red light, cadmium yellow light, and yellow ochre and titanium white. I never need to use black or green paint from the tube. I started taking Richard's free lessons and later got the "Mastering Color" lessons and followed his basic color palette. He has a free lesson called "Beautiful Grey" that began my love of ultramarine blue and burnt sienna. These two colors are constant on my palette, the reds and yellows may vary some. Many thanks to Richard for sharing his talent with us!

Anne, I like your painting very much. Very peaceful . Would you please tell me what colors on your limited pallet for this work?

Anne Marie, excellent job.  Good color harmony, nice atmospheric perspective.  You did a great job of eliminating non-essential detail and producing a very nice painting.  Stu
