Thanks Trevor.  That's what I have been thinking as well.  The next step is getting in a show.

Trevor.  I asked a question over at the forums page last week, but I don't think many people venture over there.  So, I thought I would see if you have an opinion or experience with my issue.  I damaged the canvas of a finished painting while framing, a 1/2 inch cut in the canvas.  I secured a canvas patch to the back with acid free glue and touched up the front with paint.  The repair is invisible from the front.  What are the ethical issues in entering this piece in a juried show or selling it?

Thanks,

Larry

Hi Trevor, Bath is beautiful, i rent a gorgeous georgian flat here with fab views over the city.

with a short walk to the centre.  Quite inspirational really, although i haven't painted any houses yet.  You will have to come back for some more hydra! I'm almost ready to post the finished portrait it has changed a little, hopefully for the better.  I'm no slave to using the correct brushes etc in fact i'm using a wonderful soft flat watercolour brush at the moment and its doing a great job (i think)

Hi Trevor, Thank you so much for looking at my work and all the positive things you say.  i feel honoured that it has all come from such an accomplished artist as yourself.  Your portraiture is sublime you capture your subjects natural qualities so perfectly, something i strive to do. The portrait of Bupe is a pastel... I used to work in pastel a lot, but i have been giving acrylic a try out. I'm getting used to its qualities more now, although i almost gave up, you just can't move it about like you can oil and pastel.....Thanks again :-))

Trevor, I just joined this site, and am anxious to get some feedback and critique on my work.  I have posted a variety of my paintings.  In 2005  I rekindled my interest in artwork after raising my family etc. etc.  I am thrilled to find this site that has some serious artwork on it. ( I hate wasting time viewing hideous, gruesome stuff that some people call art, of which I have no time for.)  I know I can learn alot from examining your works.

Travor, thank you so much for your kind comment on my art work!

Happen to be that pastels are new for me as a media but I like them a lot for your versability

and I have had good results with them =)

I appreciate your offer of walking my dogs but, I think its a little too far....

Take care,

Love your potraits Trevor!!! They are so full of life! The dogs seem to be talking too!!! You must really be a very sensitive person to be able to capture their expression in such a way. Do the potraits belong to all family members?
