It is my pleasure to be your artist friend and thank you so much for request. I always enjoy to see your beautiful art and I am looking forward seeing more arts from you! Happy Thanksgiving Day!
sharon, for your information, the brand of oil paints I am using now is called" Louvre", made in France before, now made in china. Thank you for your patience.
Thank you for liking my painting...You were right about the reflection of the orange on the vase...I have been working on it... I am a fan of your work.. :)
Sharon, I like your interesting idea of this setup. I also like the way you simplified the background to make the snowy owl standout. the model owl is very cute. But there is no shadow on it. so it looks flat. I have the same problem, I painted something I like so much but not ideal to paint. So I told myself not be lurered by something very charmming . Exame it wether it is paintable. If you are not a value painter, please just ignore what I said.
Sharon, happy to be your friend. Richard has not made a video yet or issued the challenge. He did paint his demo painting, and you find that by clicking on photos and putting "Workshop7" in the search box or clicking on his picture and opening up his photos. I think he's struggling to figure out who won the Workshop6 challenge. I think it's Dirk Rampling, but I have not looked through all of the submissions recently. Stu
It's just white paint - I don't really know how to explain. Lots of blending - I was working on linen which is a wonderful surface and applied the paint in thin layers.
