Hi Roena, thank you for your welcome. I'll look forward to seeing everyones paintings, I'm still in awe of what I have seen already. Looking forward to puchasing some CD's from Richard Robinson, to learn as much as I can.
Thank you for your thoughts, yes the quake was nasty for everyone and there are still lot of people working through so much, my family are fine, thank you.
Thanks for welcoming me to this page... It's very kind of you... I love to look at other folks' art. I hope I can help someone, and they can help me.... :-)
I'm glad that typing 101 is not required.I have been painting for a little over year and have found it very rewarding .recently i sold my first piece I was so axcited that someone actually thought my work had monetary worth . It was just some very simple note cards but still what a rush .I 'm hoping that i can recieve help here at become a better artist . I've been retired for 8years and kept bedgering my wife wothj questions do you think that i can do this ,finally after much agravation on my part " her reply was " shut up and go do it . You will never know unless you try . > My first piece took me 4 days and pads of watercolor paper .When I finished this piece I showed her what i 'd done She was amazed . The rest was hidtory .
Thank You, so very much for the welcome , I will look forward to seeing all the beautiful works of art other people have worked so hard on .Please forgive the typing it is not a strong point .
Hello! Thanks very much! I actually had a lot of trouble with the sunny trees pictures but I loved doing it. I also enjoyed drawing the wall and the lamp one.
I looked at the websites and suscribe to the free tutorials on the 5 pencil method. . I also found some more interesting graphic sites. I will look at them and use whatever I feel I can adopt. Here is an interesting one: J.D.Hillberry. Daisy has some great pictures! Nice textures and expressive faces.
I saw you have some balls... :-) they look very good. I like the elk a lot. Also, there is a glazing light-effect one is great!!
I started drawing a landscape a while ago, (one) and I think I will get back to drawing a little before I go back to painting. I love graphite and the lots of effect it can create. I have already learned a lot from the websites regarding the blending techniques. I am left handed so I was happy to see some suggestions on how to keep the paper clean. I always manage to mess it up (my hands too but I don't mind that.)
Yes, if you find some landscape guy I would like that! :-)
We have our wedding anniversary today (4th) so we will go somewhere in the afternoon - I don't know where yet, it is a surprise...
How is your day?
Thank you for the "welcome". I posted a few pics to get me started. My biggest obsticle is FEAR! I'm afraid of failing. I'll just have to move past it. :)
I started withi drawing. I just didn't put up any here because it is about painting... :-) but I will. Until then, here is my website (my hubby made it for me). It is not up to date but there are some drawings here: http://www.budavaribernadett.hu
It must be nice over there! We have a sunny but cold weather right now. Every time I come to work, I travel accross the Danube and just love watching the scenery, the clouds, the water, it looks like a postcard (when I have a chance to see beyond the shoulders and ears of the passengers I'm travelling with on the bus :-)
Orange cube! It sounds like a very interesting study. Tell me, how does it go?
Thank you very much for the warm welcome you have given me and for taking your time making very interesting, insightful and encouraging comments on my paintings. I appreciate it very much.
Thanks Roena! Your onion has come out beautifully and it was a real pleasure to sit and watch your slide show. You have painted some wonderful pictures.
Don't have much time to browse at the moment, but will certainly have a look around soon!
