Hi Ro,
Just found comments you had left early in August. I'm sorry I didn't respond to them, but never received notification at the time. A belated Thank You!
Only found them while checking on description tags.

You're absolutely right, this site is wonderful. I tried to find anything on oil painting on youtube, that's how I ended up with Richard's works and lessons!
I posted one of my watercolors, oh
Forgive my English!

That photo looks great and I would love to see the other ones. It is so generous of you to share your photos.
Thank you I will be posting photos of my artwork soon.

Dear, Roena! Thank you very much for welcoming me! I'm sure I'll find a lot of friends and get advices here. I used to paint watercolors, but now I'd like to start oil painting, which I find more difficult. I have to get used to the site and maybe post some of my watercolors...
Thank you again,
Yelena
Hi Roena thanks for the welcome. hope to get a lot from the site. am hoping to start a small group for painting with acrylics so any info would be very helpful.
Hi Ro,
Thank you so much for your comment on the "Silver-eye"
I nearly always carry an A5 size art journal with me wherever I go. Habit from B4 using a camera! I do quick sketches and ideas - if I have time, I quickly add color from a little W&N watercolor travel kit. Some are better than others, but the basis is there to build a full art piece from.
I don't take pages out of my journal. I don't build on every idea or sketch I do, but most of the paintings you see in my gallery have started in my journal before seeing the light of day as a painting either in my gallery on this site or framed on my wall.
Hope I have covered all questions adequately. :-))

Thank you for the offer. I am looking for one that I can paint in a vertical format showing the center and stamens well. If you had one like that I would be grateful.

I get that completely. I usually only give myself 15 minutes. Seriously, I've told all my kids the same thing. You have 15 minutes to scream, cry or pout and then times up. Get on with it. I definitely needed to remember my own rule:)) I'm much better today.
I want you to know that you have made my day. I've been sitting here so depressed. No money, no sales, no anything, but troubles and really feeling sorry for myself. Boo Hoo to me:))) I'm usually the one that is picking everyone up that's down, but I guess this was my day to pout. I'm rarely in this mood, but your comments brought me back. Thank you so much. You so sweet to take the time and effort. Sincerely, Peg
Actually, I am fairly new to the site, just a few weeks. I heard about Richard through Robert Genn's Twice Weekly Letters and ordered his DVD on Color. If you don't know about Robert, his website is ThePaintersKeys.com. Check it out. I have a premium listing on his site and really enjoy the letters. I have signed up for Richard's free lessons and enjoy the videos. I would like to be able to paint as loosely as he does. I'm currently working on a large oil landscape which is occupying all my free time (I still work full time at a 'real' job, ie. one that pays the bills) but the next thing I tackle is going to be something in Richard's style. Thank you for inviting me to be a friend. I had put in a friend request to you, but mine never seem to work, so I'm glad you invited me.
Hey Roena, nice to hear from a fellow Texan. Thanks for your kind comments. I've checked out your page and am very impressed. Your graphite drawings are wonderful. I admire you for actually doing the exercises in the books you are studying. I tend to read straight through a book, then it ends up on a shelf.
