How would you categorize your painting style?: representational

Which medium do you prefer? eg. oils, acrylics, etc.: oils

Are you a full time artist?: Part Time

Who are your favourite 2 artists?: Sherrie McGraw, Mary Pratt

Do you have any goals for your painting?: To become more confident in my use of colour. I believe that practice in the massing of light and dark is fundamental to this. I am trying also to understand the science of colour through studying Munsell and mixing colour strings. It's hard but it's helping!

I noticed that there is glare from the canvas in the photo of my rose painting. Drat. This lightens things noticeably. Need some tips on taking photos too :)

If you want a professional tips on how to photograph you paintings go to Workshop page, click on the monthly workshop, scroll down to paragraph 3. "Photograph your artwork" where Richard pasted valuable information about it.

I personally photograph my "art work" in the shade. Have a nice day!
