oil on canvas paper, 9x12
Since I live out of a suitcase, it's hard to paint very often. But I do have a few days off this week and I plan to take advantage of it! This was yesterday's effort. Late afternoon, so things started to get a pale yellow cast on them. Took me about 3hours, but sun had changed too much, and had to quit.
Tried to play around with the knife and warm white paint from Gamblin. Lots of trouble with greens! Yikes!
Anyway, it was fun!

Gorgeous textures, beautiful composition!!
Thanks, Lori! Glad I posted this one, because the other one I posted is falling flat on its face! Yikes! I think I better stick to landscapes and forget street scenes. ;-) Going out now to find some bucolic scenes to paint....
Very nice painting Betsy. Great broken color on the barns. I love your overlapping of the two barns!!! That adds so much depth. Be careful of painting your trees all the same height. ..also, don't forget to reflect some of the tree greens into the shadow sides of your silos and barn roof.
Nice use of color in these "white" barns. You have shown us their character and depth with the broken color
