Thanks Fay. It really was a terrific workshop and I am quite pleased that pushing the color is working out. We had some fabulous Fall color up at 9,000 to 10,000 in the Sierras. Beautiful place to paint. In another several months it will be inaccessible up on those passes; the first snowfall will come in the next 4 to 6 weeks.

A lovely painting Stu. I agree with others who have posted recently on your paintings - the colours you're using now are really bringing your paintings to life. I need to learn more about colour in landscapes and have learnt so much from seeing your recent paintings. The workshop you did with Frank Seranno must have been great. You're posting some lovely paintings.

Thanks Ann. My goal that morning was to draw the eye back into the painting with contrast in my values. I did a better job with my foreground trees in this one. This was a very bright and sunny morning.
I like the way that you painted the path and water to move away from us into the painting. Again the use of darks add drama and show off your color
