Stu, what is your new color palette? How different of this one compared with your old color palette?
Thanks Silvana and Xiao. I am quite pleased with my new palette. It seems easier to get more color with it. I've been using this palette for about a month. After I painted with Michael and Laura at the end of August, I felt that my paintings did not have enough color in them, and I have been trying since to push my color in the mid values. I changed my palette over a month ago because of my upcoming workshop that I took this last weekend, and it seems to be working out well for me. I had been working on my value structure for the past year and not worried too much about the color. I still have some work to do on my brushstrokes and edges, but I am very pleased with my plein air progress.
Stu, I like your new color scene. It is very nice and very appealing.
Stu! I love the wayyour paintings have morecolour! They seem more vivid and full of life! How do you feel about them?
Lovely loose style and great colour
Thanks Ann. I did this one on the way to the workshop when Michael and I stopped on Sonora Pass. I am putting a lot more color in my paintings than I was a few months ago.
WOW Stu this new use of color is great ! I like the way you use dark values to form the shapes
Thanks Michael. I just threw one of them into shadow to put it behind the other so it wouldn't compete. I think it worked ok.
