LOVE IT !!!! Dee your art is amazing !!!
I like this composition! Great!
Nice loose brush work and simplicity of compostion. Stu
Thanks everyone for your great comments. I was aiming for simplicity to see if less really is more! So I went straight for the essentials: translucency in the orange segment, the whites with varying temperature and textures, simple design and colour harmony and drawing accuracy with some looseness in the painting.
I'm pleased with it : )
Lovely minimalist arrangement
very nice dee - this has to be on linen, no? i love the weave peeking through...good job!
Hi, There is something very special about this. The little slice of orange looks forgotten but not alone.
Hi Dee ... this is a beauty. Love the simplicity and the waythat the curve of the orange repeats the curve of the bowl. Also the complementary colours are nice touch, This painting reminds me of the American painter Andrew Wyeth.
If you don't mind, I would like to set up a similar study to paint. Great work. Gina.
Dee, I like your work. A peice of translucent orange companied by an elegent bluish bowl shinning happyly. The table cloth color and texture is so dramatice from smooth warm cream colour to rough grey and dark brown linen textile like. May I ask how you did that texture of the down part of the cloth? I appreciate your idea of simple but strong impact. Very good.
