Hi Michael i am desperate to get feed back on this one.  i've been working on it for weeks, i keep putting it away then getting it out its been a nightmare. i really saw a vision for this and i know its there somewhere.  I'm so glad you answered my call for help and you have helped me to open my mind and look again with fresh eyes.  This painting god bless it will be finished one way or another and no you haven't made me negative not one bit!  Its so lovely to know you guys are out there and willing to offer a struggling artist a helping hand.

Pauline, really nice work. I do agree with Micael about the tree, and maybe if you opened it up a bit by negative painting your building into it, it could be down played a bit. The other thing I see is that you have closed your opportunity for a path back into the painting along the sidewalk with your couple to the right of the cab; if you moved them over toward the cab, that path would open up. I see where you are coming from.  I was feeling the imbalance perhaps lope sided effect.  Thanks for all the positive things you have said Michael i really do appreciate it.  I'm going to put my thinking cap on and see if i can address the balance. wish me luck! Thanks again Master lol :-))

Hi Pauline.  I personally like your painting very much.  I only put my crit out there because it is going into a show and your painting will be held up to more scrutiny by the judges.  After reading your comment,  I wish I had not said anything ...because you are really excited about this painting  ..I hope I did not negate your feelings about the painting?

Hi Pauline.  This is a tough one Pauline ..it is a wonderfully executed painting! ....look how those two buildings melt into the atmosphere ..and the luminosity that you have provided.  The glint of light reflecting off the glass building, the flags waving in the breeze, and the people that give life to the scene.  You seem rightfully "jazzed" about your painting!!   And this is the tough part ....that doggone large tree overpowers everything in your painting.  It is too bad you could not have found a more advantages spot to paint it.  I could be  dead wrong, and I hope I am!?  ...but at 30 x 20 inches ......I don't know?
