Hi, Sharon. Yeah - difficult to choose a subject - I wasn't sure how much I wanted to have a sort of Monet's 'style' either.

Thanks, Linda - water is nice to paint in that it's sort of 'abstract' - but the colors can be soooo hard!

Great Jon, I contemplated on painting this very scene... stopping the video at the right point, but went with the Monet's Gondola.  Great Job on the gondolas!

Thanks Lori and Laura. Candi and Michael - yeah, I see what you mean - too much pasta!? - I'll put him on a diet tomorrow (if I manage to paint out the background)

I agree with Candi, Jon ....the gondola driver looks a little out of scale.

Really like your boat, background, and water on this one, but your gondola driver's scale on the other.  Beautiful colors!
