9x12, I am not so sure about this composition as the water separate the painting?

Wow, Michael, It helps me so much! Again your comment helps me understand why it is not a good composition. I hasn't thought about land mass and water have the same size and shape at all. I am not going to fix it, but I want to keep this one as a bad example of my composition so I can remember it. Thank you Michael!
Joy, thank you very much for your comment and suggestion. I will keep in mind to apply all your suggestions on my future paintings. Thank you again!
Hi Laura, the land mass and water shape are mirror images of each other. Suggest you bring the bank down further, so there is more land shape then water shape. Then, put in the reflection of that bush. This is a very difficult composition due to the lack of dark shapes, overlapping shapes, and your dominance of horizontals ....which need some vertical counter. You need to find a way to unify this painting ....make it either warm or cool ..right now you have both equally represented. Hope that helps.
Thank you very much Christine, Aurelia! It is good for study!
Lovely atmospheric perspective.
Ok composition could be stronger, but the painting of this is very nice, Laura!
Thank you my dear friends Jess, Stu! I agree with you! I thought about to work little more on bottom before post it, but I had second thought about water going throgh the painting. I will play around little bit to see if it works.
Maybe if you rounded off the water on the side where your signature is instead of having it continue, the edge of the bank would draw the eye back into the painting & towards the focal point of the bush?
